Team North America is the wild card of the World Cup of Hockey. Richie Ashburn Jersey . It features the NHLs brightest young stars, led by Connor McDavid, Jack Eichel and Nathan MacKinnon, and plays with a breathtaking speed that gives us a glimpse of where the game is headed. This will be the fastest team in the tournament. Its not a stretch to say that there has never been a faster hockey team assembled, from top to bottom. But Team North America is also short on experience, light on physicality and still working on its chemistry. In short, it could win it all or get bounced early. Either way, this has become a must-watch team. How North America could winIt blows past everybody and teams cant keep up. There is so much speed in this lineup that the reigning All-Star Game fastest skater champion, Dylan Larkin, couldnt crack the lineup for its opening pretournament game.Team North Americas players are so quick in transition that they should have consistent odd-man rushes throughout the course of the game, and with guys such as?Johnny Gaudreau and Brandon Saad around to complement the high-end centers, theyll know how to finish. This team has already shown a propensity to absorb the teachings of coach Todd McLellan. Its strong puck support has led to a controlled game both when its leaving the defensive zone and entering the offensive zone. This young team could become more dangerous as the tournament progresses and its young players jell and gain confidence. After beating Team Europe by a combined score of 11-4 in two pretournament games, North Americas players truly believed they were just scratching the surface. The biggest concern six months ago for this group was goaltending -- and then Matt Murray went out and won a Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins, negating that issue. The defense doesnt have the depth of some of the other teams, but it has strong skaters throughout and a bona fide No. 1 in Aaron Ekblad, who will see a ton of playing time. How North America could loseIt hasnt been forced to defend for long stretches in the early going, and there are concerns that the kids dont play a mature, 200-foot game. Privately, the coaching staff was just fine with Team Europe pushing back in the second game because it provides an opportunity to show where the players need to improve defensively. This team could be susceptible to a bigger, stronger team cycling down low and maintaining puck possession, while wearing down the smaller, faster North Americans. The North American players also tended to pass too much in the pretournament games rather than take the shot and score on second and third efforts. Thats a byproduct of having so much skill and all kinds of confidence. We still dont know how this team will look against a bigger, physical team. As Gaudreau pointed out, you cant hit what you cant catch -- but a veteran team with an edge, like Team Finland, could pose problems for the kids.Like Team Canadas, the forward group is composed mostly of centers and there are still some questions about which of the centers are best suited to play on the wing. Theyre undergoing a learning process here -- but dont have a lot of time to figure it out, one of the disadvantages of being a new creation and a team that has never played together before. What to watch for: For McDavid & Co., the future is nowThe hockey world was robbed of a full rookie season from McDavid because of his injury. Now, on a best-on-best stage, we get to see just how good he really is. McLellan has shown a willingness to play McDavid and Eichel together, which is a cool byproduct of this team and this tournament. We might never get to see that combination again.McDavid, according to teammate Mark Scheifele, is even faster than he was his rookie season. Thats scary. The expectation is that hes going to be one of the two or three best players in the game down the road. When this tournament finishes, we might just conclude he already is. Mitch Williams Jersey .J. -- Marty Brodeur beat the Pittsburgh Penguins yet again. Greg Luzinski Jersey . Halladay signed a one-day contract with the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday that allowed the veteran right-hander to retire as a member of team with which he broke into the majors and spent the bulk of his distinguished 16-year career. . In the lead up - which seemed to begin the moment Mike Geiger blew the whistle in Houston last Thursday night - the Impact rumour mill went into overdrive. The speculation went into meltdown mode, of the golden nugget variety. Drew Hutchisons chance to claim a St George Illawarra playmaking spot next season wont hinge solely on his performance against Parramatta.Hutchison has been called up by coach Paul McGregor to partner Gareth Widdop in the Dragons halves at the expense of Benji Marshall. In what will be the NRLs last-ever Monday night fixture, Hutchison can position himself to succeed Marshall by playing a big game. The Pirtek Stadium clash is the only one Hutchison will have alongside Widdop this year, with Marshall set to return for the Dragons final game of 2016 against Newcastle.McGregor said it wasnt do-or-die for Hutchison against the Eels.Obviously we wanted to have a look at Drew, but by no means will it be his only chance if he is to play halfback next season. He will have all the pre-season, McGregor said. The 21-year-old played three NRL games for the Dragons in 2015 but is yet to feature this season.Drew has been working really hard to get this opportunity, McGregor said.He has been training very hard and playing very well in NSW Cup.This is a chance for him to step up and take ownership of that (playmaking) role.Tim Lafai returns for suspended centre Taane Milne for the Dragons.Prop Russell Packer is out with shoulder and hip injuries, and will be replaced by Jacob Host.Brad Takairangi returns from a hamstring injury at centre for Vai Toutai for the Eels.Danny Wicks sstarts at prop for the suspended Rory OBrien, and Tepai Moeroa and Beau Scott return to the home sides back row. Mike Schmidt Jersey. Peni Terepo and Kenny Edwards drop back to an extended bench. The game is the final fixture at Pirtek before it undergoes redevelopment, and coach Brad Arthur is keen for the Eels to finish their troubled year strongly there. It is the last game at Pirtek Stadium. We move to ANZ Stadium next year so it is really important that we put on a good spectacle for the fans, he said.KEY STATS* The Eels demolished the Dragons 36-6 in the first-ever match at the reconfigured Parramatta Stadium - now called Pirtek - in 1986, with former club head Steve Sharp scoring the first try.* The Eels have won 189 of 343 matches at the stadium in its present configuration. Their biggest win was a 74-4 demolition of the Sharks in 2003, and their worst loss was a 64-12 hammering by Manly in 1988.* The Dragons have the worst Monday night game record since its reintroduction in 2007, winning just nine of 31 appearances.* Both teams have had a hard time scoring points this season. Parramatta have struggled with their attack, scoring just three tries a game in 2016, which is more than only the Dragons and Knights.* Source: Fox Sports Stats China Jerseys WholesaleChina NFL JerseysWholesale Stitched JerseysChina JerseysNFL T-shirts From ChinaCheap NFL T-shirtsWholesale Jerseys 2019 ' ' '
